Monday to Friday 8.30am – 2.45pm during Primary School Terms (closed during school holidays)

Under 2 year olds: 9am – 12 noon (3 hour session)

Over 2 year olds: 8.30am – 12 noon (3.5 hour session) OR 8.30am – 2.45pm (6.25 hour session)

The Rose Centre operates during the Gazetted school terms. Fees & donations are only applicable during school terms.

All fees include GST. $10 per hour

20 Hours ECE • Children 3 years and over • No charge

This applies to children 3 years and over attesting up to “20 Hours ECE” at The Rose Centre Community Pre-school. Any additional hours attended that do not qualify for “20 Hours ECE” funding will be charged at the normal hourly rate of $10.00 per hour. Please note that a maximum of 6 hours per day qualify for the “20 Hours ECE'“

Donation request

As a community-based, not-for-profit, registered charity, the Rose Centre is a donee organisation. We understand that rising costs are affecting all whānau, just as they do us. To help support our above MOE requirements teacher ratios, pay structure and general costs, we request a voluntary donation of $5 per hour for MOE-funded hours. This donation is entirely optional, is itemized separately on your invoice, and is not compulsory or enforceable. After 31st March each year, we will provide a statement of your donations (from 1st April – 31st March). You can submit this to the IRD for a 33.33% tax credit. While the donation is optional, any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.

FamilyBoost

FamilyBoost is a NZ government childcare payment to help eligible caregivers pay for the cost of early childhood education (ECE). Whether you can get FamilyBoost depends on the children you care for, your household income, and your childcare costs. You will need to register for FamilyBoost directly with IRD through myIR (IRD Website) before you can make a claim. You only need to register once. You need to submit a FamilyBoost claim to get your refund. Talk to the Preschool Manager for further information.

Optional Charges

We charge a monthly fee of $15 to cover:

• Stationery & Portfolios

• StoryPark App

Excursions: In the event of an excursion being organised from The Rose Centre, parents/caregivers will receive a permission form to fill out and be advised of any cost involved. Outings away from the Centre are not compulsory and the absence fee will be required in the event of a family declining to go on the excursion.

WINZ subsidies are available to families who meet the criteria. Application Forms are available from the Principal Teacher/Supervisor. Any shortfall will be invoiced.

Fees: From 2nd March 2026 Invoices will be emailed monthly. Direct debit payments into our Preschool Account can be arranged.
